Lydia Taft Pratt Library

•   Library Reverts to Contact-free Curbside Service   •

Starting on Saturday, November 28, the Lydia Taft Pratt Library is reverting to contact-free curbside service, at least through the middle of January. This decision was made by our board of trustees on November 24th in response to the exponential rise in COVID-19 transmissions and the rising number of COVID-related deaths across our state.

What this means for you:

  • • You can call or email your requests for books by title, author or subject
  • • You can search our online catalog to find out what books we have available
  • • You can request books that we do not own through interlibrary loan
  • • We will make available Take-And-Make craft activities for children when possible
  • • Let us know when you will come to pick up your books. They will be waiting outside on the book drop
  • • You can return books to the book drop
  • • We will be available on Saturdays (as well as Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) for curbside service

If you are a Facebook user, we post announcements frequently to the Lydia Taft Pratt Facebook Page. If you have not yet “Liked” us there, it’s recommended you do. This is the easiest way to stay current with what is happening at the library.

Thanks for your patience and understanding in these challenging times. We love our community, and are looking forward to better times!
