Each year the Dummerston Selectboard appoints a Social Services Advisory Committee, consisting of ten Dummerston residents, to review applications for funding and to make recommendations to the Selectboard to use in the preparation of the Town budget for approval at Town meeting. One of the expectations of the Advisory Committee is to be knowledgeable of services needed and provided to Dummerston residents, while keeping in mind budgetary limitations of town residents.

The Social Services Advisory Committee reviews funding applications each November and makes recommendations to the Selectboard in December. Current Committee members include Cindy Jerome, Susan Leuchter, Bill Pelz-Walsh, Rita Ramirez, Sara Ryan, John Sommer, and Gail Sorenson.
